Of all the cities we had on our list of possibilities as we planned our trip to Italy, Venice seemed like one we just couldn't pass up. It's one of those places that you have to visit if you get the chance, and I'm so glad we did. It did not disappoint!

This top is one of my favorite blouses right now, although it's really more coral than pink. I love the colors and all of the details. The bows on the sleeves are a fun accessory, and surprisingly they don't get in the way during the day.

This outfit is one of my favorites so far this year. Unfortunately the top is sold out, but this clutch, these pants, and these shoes are total holiday staples. This furry clutch comes in several colors, and I LOVE the texture it adds to this outfit.

If you were to look through my closet, you'd be able to tell pretty quickly what my favorite color is this season. Once you pulled out the piles of cream, gray, and black that dominate my closet year round, you would find a whole lot of maroon.

I hit the big 3-0 milestone in August, and I still can't believe it. I honestly forget I'm 30 all the time. It's such a different decade to call my own that I think I'll be getting used to it for some time.

Every once and a while I'll get text from a friend as they are trying to put together an outfit or as they are trying to shop for some new clothes. And sometimes they apologize for asking for help, but I actually love it!

Last Sunday we finally took the opportunity to bless Baker. In our church after a baby is born we give them a blessing in front of the congregation, typically when they are 1-2 months old. They are officially given a name and we ask God to bless the baby as he grows and develops in this life

The holidays are upon us and I've been having fun putting together some holiday looks to share with you! Since we work for ourselves, we don't have a company party to go to. But, I'm hoping I can sneak in a few holiday dates with the other owner of Nickel & Suede - and those will give me a few excuses glam things up this month. ;)

I stick with long shorts in the Summer and some Summer's they are "in" and other's they aren't. This year- kind of like with denim- I feel like any length of shorts goes.
