Pink Bows and Leopard Print

I've had Valentine's Day on my mind for weeks now as we've been prepping for all things love and romantic at work. Today actaully marks the start of our Nickel & Suede Valentine's Day sale. I'm not always into pink, but this year blush and shades of pink have been taking over my closet and also all of our N&S styling. If you follow me on IG, you may have seen I even bought a pink velvet couch last month—much to Soren's dismay. It's SO pink, but it's also velvet and will be so fun to have at the Nickel & Suede store for the month of February—and maybe even beyond! If you live in town, you must come see it in person this weekend during our sale. We have several shades of pink earrings that we've released this week, and everything is a little more girly than usual right now at Nickel & Suede.
Soren and I rarely go out on Valentine's Day (we don't like crowds), but a couple of years ago my Christmas present was a Valentine's Day trip to Nashville to see Maroon 5. It was a total surprise, and it was the only time Soren and I have left the kids. We were only gone for a total of 36 hours, but it was so much fun. This year we'll really be topping that trip, though, as we are leaving for Milan just a few days after the holiday. We'll be gone from the kids for a week, and although I'm already nervous about it, I'm also starting to get really excited! If we do end up going on a date before we leave, I'm voting for the Cheesecake Factory. Soren and I have recently fallen in love with their nachos (who knew, right?!), and we take any chance we can get to go eat them sans kids.
This top is one of my favorite blouses right now, although it's really more coral than pink. I love the colors and all of the details. The bows on the sleeves are a fun accessory, and surprisingly they don't get in the way during the day. It comes in several other colors, and it's on sale right now for only $29. Other ideas for styling it would be to add a denim jacket, pair it with lighter blue jeans and flats, or to style it with olive green skinnies in the spring. As you can see, I also love pairing leopard with it, and the good news is that Sole Society has a similar clutch right now!
