A few months ago, I was reading in Inc Magazine about start up businesses. The article mentioned that one problem that many start ups face in their second quarter is burnout. Entrepreneurs and their employees typically work crazy hours, are crazy stressed, and end up going crazy.

Having professional photos taken is such a double edged sword, especially when the entire family is involved. I love having them on my walls, but getting ready for them and actually enduring the photo session is another story.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that yesterday was a little out of our norm. I had some health problems that landed me in the ER for the morning and then laid me up on the couch for the rest of the day.

When I first started my blog 2.5 years ago, Easton took all of my photos. Every day when I got dressed, I would have him snap photos of me in whatever shade we could find, and out of the 200 I would make him take, something would work.

I love plaid in the fall, but for some reason, I've always felt like red buffalo print plaid was exclusively for the holidays. I wore these pants last Christmas, but I recently realized I could pull them out before December.

Time for a quick hair update - mostly because my hair is probably the reason that 90% of people find my blog.

I have some exciting news to announce today! The Nickel & Suede Holiday Collection will be released on November 3. We are finalizing it right now and, holy cow, I'm still gasping at some of the pieces. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but just wait - you'll see!

I've said before that Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week. Sundays mean no work, lots of family time, and going to church. On a typical Sunday, I get up around 7 and write my Sunday Style blog post.

On my mind recently has been the gap between real life and what I (and everyone else) share with you here on the blog or social media. I need to do a Day-In-The-Life post so that I can really show what my daily life looks like because it's mostly pretty messy.
