Just a quick post today. I was asked to start teaching the three year olds' class at church, and my lesson prep is calling. I'm so glad to be teaching Kesler's class because three is such a fun age.

I'm not sure if it happens to you too, but whenever I have a big event coming up, I tend to over analyze what I'm going to wear. I try to plan too much, I try too hard, and I usually end up just buying something new to wear to feel better about it all.

I'm a day early with Everyday Style this week. Twice a month, I post outfits from my Instagram feed that are my 'everyday style.'

This week's edition of Everyday Style is all about making an outfit interesting. I own a lot of basics, but I typically mix them up in an unusual way, or I make them interesting by adding one unexpected piece.

This outfit would be definitely be accompanied by a parka, gloves and maybe as scarf if I were really going anywhere, but since we just had playgroup indoors at our house I kept it to a light vest.

I hope it cooling down in your area because, lets face it, it is half way through September and nearly, really, truly Fall. If it isn't already, this combo should be on your outfit playlist.

Vests are huge this Fall and Winter. They are perfect for layering and adding a lot of interest and style to any outfit. So I'm hoping you listened to me and made your denim vest....this time around we are making our own cargo vest!

You know I love a denim vest and that I have been wearing mine all Summer. Well my new vest obsession this fall is a cargo vest and guess where I got mine? I made it!
