A few weeks back I spent a little stolen time browsing at Micheals. I had a giftcard to spend and wanted to get some Valentine's Day decor going. Of course no ideas came my way until I was in the shower the next day.

There are a lot of trends that I make up my mind pretty quickly about. But every once and a while some trends that I'm on the fence about, eventually I'll end up trying it.

Well, we survived January- barely. It's the first of February and yes, it snowed here last night, but it's not January anymore so life is looking up. We've been dealing with regular cloudy skies, mostly super cold temps and not enough outside time.

I'm coming in super late this week- but I'm determined to check in at least once before next week steam rolls me too! This has been one busy last few days. Thank goodness everyone has been healthy and things are getting done, except blogging that is, but it's just been one of those weeks. That I never have.

Over the last few months, I've been working on improving the photos on my blog. Maybe you can't tell because of the grainy cell phone pics you still see sometimes, but I have.

As you may know, Soren and I bought gym memberships a few months ago. Both of us needed more movement in our lives and a reason to get out of the house more often since we work at home. Soren has been really good about going regularly and I'm working on getting there regularly.

Well, we are halfway through January and I'll have to admit I'm a little burned out. I didn't set any extreme resolutions that I'm ready to abandon, but the cold and cloudy days have put a damper on my motivation in general.

Some days I just feel like just wearing the weird thing. Not the safe option. Not what Soren would pick. Or even like. Like this full vegan leather midi skirt and a baggy sweater.
