I decided to try a faux black dress by pairing a black blouse tucked into my black skirt. Tucking in the top created a fun blouson shape, and I loved the end result. I threw on the tan kimono as an afterthought

I'm going to admit that summer is a hard season for me to style. I love so many things about the season, but I'm such a fan of layering that I either do it anyway and sweat to death, or I feel bored with the tee/jeans or shorts/sandal combo.

This week's edition of closet essentials is all about accessories. This was the hardest topic to narrow down to the basics because usually accessories are for dressing up the basics.

As Soren and I flipped though the photos trying to choose the right ad, he kept deleting the 'no's. I had to stop him because every picture had a little facial expression that I recognized and loved!

I'm not usually one to post these types of posts, but every time I read one somewhere else, I kinda love it. It's just such a fun way to take stock and share little blips about life. It won't become a series or anything, but I'd like like to try it once.
