Memorial Day and Celebration at the Station
I know it was a few weeks ago, but I still wanted to share some photos from our Memorial Day and my very favorite holiday tradition throughout the year - the Celebration at the Station here in Kansas City. For the last four years that we have lived here, we have gone with my family and friends and celebrated Memorial Day together. If you are local, you must go next year! The event is held at Union Station on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. There is an amazing live performance from the Kansas City symphony to honor the military. They also shoot real canons, and the fireworks display is fantastic. I love fireworks, but in the Midwest it is SO hot in July that Independence Day is a little miserable. The end of May is the perfect weather to sit out and eat snacks, play catch, visit with family, and watch the fireworks. I can't wait to go back next year!
