When Fall comes around, my love for leopard is renewed every year. I don't know how leopard became the king of animal prints, but I just can't stop wearing it or collecting it.

I love color, but you probably wouldn't know it- whether you examine most of my outfits around here or if you were to see me while I'm folding my laundry. My personal laundry pile consists of black, gray, white and more gray. With a pair of blue jeans thrown in there.

I'm ringing in the New Year with a little more color than usual today. I've got my eye on a lot of fringe and leopard print this coming year and these two accessories together are just right for pulling together a basic Target tee and dark skinny denim.

So- its funny to have such perfect pictures on the blog today and have real life currently feeling completely opposite right now. I'd wear that outfit right now as I speak- but picture bloodshot eyes and huge bags under them.

If you were wondering what my daily uniform is- it definitely looks like this. Obviously Nickel & Suede everything- but the general gist of it can apply to you too. Soft and comfortable sweatshirt, warm infinity scarf, comfortable boyfriend jeans and slip on sneakers.

You know all of those things you say before your are a parent- the "I would never..." stuff? I feel like we've reached a new low of actually doing all of those things and worse around here.

I have some exciting news to announce today! The Nickel & Suede Holiday Collection will be released on November 3. We are finalizing it right now and, holy cow, I'm still gasping at some of the pieces. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but just wait - you'll see!

On my mind recently has been the gap between real life and what I (and everyone else) share with you here on the blog or social media. I need to do a Day-In-The-Life post so that I can really show what my daily life looks like because it's mostly pretty messy.

There are so many parts of life that are just new - like, all the time at this stage of life. Everything that I need to do as a mom and for our business is just all uncharted waters for me. Most of the time 'new' things scare me off and aren't something I seek out. I like my bubbles.
