Last week we talked about quirky sweaters and this week's trend to discuss is leather. And as always you can play it a little safe or you can really dig in deep.

The weather has been perfect for a few layers that easily shed when it gets warm. We hit up the zoo this week to enjoy this perfect weather.

I made this no sew tribal print knit vest last year and it is one of my favorite layering pieces. It works great under jackets, over tees, belted, with jeans and with leggings. AND it was so easy to make!

Have you heard of the ugly sweater parties at Christmas time? Ever attended one? Well you might want to pull out your ugly sweater because it just might be 'in' this year.

This week I found the black ankle boots I have been searching for!! Well, sort of. I have been coveting this pair for a while, but it just wasn’t in my budget.

I’ve been toying with the idea of painting them for a while but couldn’t decide what to do. Its not like I can afford to mess them up! After debating adding glitter, stripes, polka dots or an animal stamp, I decided on repeating hearts.
