Happy Monday! We are just coming off of a much needed weekend where we stepped away from work and all of the stress and decisions surrounding that. We try not to work on the weekends, especially Sunday

If you've been around for a while, you know I'm not afraid to alter my pants. I frequently cut them into crops, rip them, fray them and sometimes patch them. In all honestly most of the pants I've done that to in the past have been thrifted, inexpensive or in my closet long enough to justify a change.

It's Sunday! Finally! Growing up, I always looked forward to Fridays for dates, movies with friends, and the end of the school week. I think if you work a 9-5 job, you do too.

This week, I've been feeling overwhelmingly blessed and excited for the future. Having battled depression, an eating disorder, and a rough first 5-6 years of our marriage, it feels really foreign to be feeling SO darn hopeful!

As a mom of three boys under five, I feel like I am always trying to figure out what bag to carry. Some years, I have needed a diaper bag full of baby gear, and others years I've needed just the basics.

One of my best friends is having a baby tomorrow, and I'm so excited for her. Yesterday several of us went to brunch to celebrate and swap pregnancy and delivery stories. There is nothing that can get a bunch of moms talking like the war stories of child birth - let me tell you!

Last week I was invited to dinner downtown by a girl friend for a potential business collaboration. I had the chance to dress up a little, eat sushi, be kid-free, and meet and talk with other like-minded women. Sounds dreamy, right?

Heaven help me because I'm the mom of a school-goer now. My heart and brain can't handle it, and I haven't a clue what I'm in for.

Going out to lunch is extremely rare for me, but yesterday was a really good personal outing. It was hard to get out of my bubble and find a sitter and park my dang van downtown - but sometimes those things are worth it.
