Hey guys! Welcome to 2017! I'm excited for the fresh start of a new year and everything that a new year brings. I'm a big believer in always having new goals and trying new things year-round, but there is nothing like the motivation of the first few weeks of the year to kick my rear in gear.

Well, this is the last Everyday Style post of 2016. It's been an eventful year for us and I can't imagine what next year holds! The year 2016 has brought so many changes to my blog, social media and Nickel and Suede. And it's been so good!

Merry Christmas from the Nickels Family! We've been so blessed this year in so many ways. It's been a busy year that I swear went by so quickly that I hardly remember it.

I don't know about you, but once December hits, I'm feeling festive. My typical tendency for gray, black, and more black subsides and I pull out all things red, green, plaid, sparkly, and furry.

And just like that, it's Thanksgiving week! The temps have finally dropped and just in the knick of time. Here in Kansas City we have all been pretending to need boots and sweaters for the last few weeks.

It's November 18, and it's a big day for our family! First, today is Soren's birthday. He's turning one year older, and we're excited to celebrate him. He is such a great dad, husband, business partner, and example. He's one of the smartest men I know, and I've learned so much from him.

I am loving this plaid color combo this year, and it was actually hard for me to narrow down which black & white shirt to grab for myself!

Happy Monday! We are just coming off of a much needed weekend where we stepped away from work and all of the stress and decisions surrounding that. We try not to work on the weekends, especially Sunday
