I'm not usually a skirts and dresses kind of mom. They just don't fit well with my day-to-day life, and I'd rather wear pants. But thankfully I still get the chance to wear them once a week to worship at church, and that is just often enough to justify beauties like this hanging in my closet. Last time I wore
this skirt, several readers asked me to style it with a chambray shirt. So today, I am delivering. I like this look even better than the first time I wore it. The chambray is the perfect fabric match for the cream crochet, but figuring out the tuck was the hardest part. It all hangs on the tuck of the shirt. I tried tucking in all the way, but it just didn't look quite right. Untucked was also wrong - although with a belt it might work. The half tuck ended up being just right. I tucked in the front and loosely pulled it out a bit. It takes some playing with, but itn't hard. When it warms up, I'll switch out the boots for wedge sandals, and this look will work for dressy occasions all summer.
