InstaFriday: Bow and Arrows
About two years ago, when we moved to Missouri- my husband started pursuing archery as a hobby. We were coming from Seattle where all of his previous hobbies stayed when we left. (There are not a lot of mountains to climb here in the midwest!) I wasn't totally on board with this new hobby and its costs, but he loves it and we have actually all come to love it. Thanks to the Hunger Games everyone in America can say that they too have come to love it.
Recently Soren got me a bow that is actually the right weight for me. I have tried to shoot with him before unsuccessfully because his bows were all to heavy. This bow however- is so much fun to shoot! I don't feel like I will bruise my arm when I shoot it and I am strong enough to last for more than one or two arrows. I can't imagine how much more fun it will be to shoot when I don't have a giant belly to hold up as well! The best part is that I am actually good at it too- who knew??? You just might even catch me in an archery tournament someday....

It hasn't been all fun and games around here- we have been super sick with a nasty cold and cough. I resisted the sick for as long as it took for the kids to mend and then it took me down. Not the way that I wanted to spend month eight of pregnancy. Thank heavens we are all better now and sleeping a little more. Catching up on sleep is probably what should be at the top of my to-do list right now!

And since we all love archery at this house, I had to throw a couple of arrows in the nursery. This pillow was fun to make and feels true to the Nickels' style.
