Iām excited to be a part of a really fun blogging series today- 31 Days
of Summer Fun put together by
McKenzie at Girl Loves Glam. Check out all of the fun projects, recipes and
ideas that other bloggers have been sharing- it totally makes me ready for
summer!

If you know me, you know that summer prep at my house means
getting my wardrobe summer ready. I want to share a really easy sewing project
today that is perfect for summer. Here in Missouri it gets nice and hot and
humid so a skirt is always a good option for comfortable summer fashion. I
picked up some great floral fabric at Walmart a few months back and knew it was
perfect for a skirt or two.
I followed this
tutorial and it took maybe 30
minutes to make two skirts! The hardest part was just measuring myself and then
measuring out my fabric. The best part about this project is that you make it
to fit you- you pick the length and modify it for your body shape. This project
worked for me at 8 months pregnant and it will work for you today too!

I
styled mine for church last week with some wedges and a cardigan. Depending on
your pattern or print, you could easily pair this with a graphic tee, a solid
tee, a denim vest, or a cute tank. Feel free to wear wedges, flats, flip flops
or cute sneaks with your skirt too!

The
possibilities are endless for such an easy skirt, but I really love the bright
and fun floral for summer!
