Instafriday- Last Swim

Welcome to Friday! When I got an iPhone I was so excited to use it as a little portable camera. Each Friday I post pictures of our family life from my phone. And you’ll see it all through an Instagram filter.

Over the long weekend we had our last family swim of the summer. Both of the boys have improved so much in their swimming and comfort level with the water. I’m pretty sure I am just as bad or a worse swimmer (if that is possible).

Easton loves to jump into the pool and can hold his breath under water well. He can maneuver around the edge of the pool and has no problem with his face in the water.

Kesler, who is much less daring than Easton, has started to jump into the pool and loves to pretend he is swimming in the baby pool. I think he is much more at home in the water than at the beginning of summer. Swimming lessons are a must for next summer for both of them.

We love to swim with Grandma and Grandpa and the uncles. It is so nice for me. Soren was even able to make it this time too!

After church on Sunday this is where Easton can be found. Really any day. Playing with his ‘Cars 2 toys’ as he calls them. He has quite the set up.

We made cookies on Sunday and they didn’t quite turn out. They were dunkers. I ate these two. Tried to eat two more, but had to stop on my third. I must be getting old.

This might have been our last slushie stop of the summer too. The boys always get blue raspberry. I’m not going to lie- I always get a half and half mix of Lite Rooster Booster and Pina Colada Smoothie. My drug of choice- its amazing.

I had to capture this ridiculous scene. I wish the picture showed more. It cracks me up to see Kesler is his too-small costume. And a diaper. Pouting. With an arrow. Which he proceeded to hit Easton over the head with. This little guy is all attitude. I have no idea what our girls will be like, but I don’t think they could be more emotional or spunky than Kesler.

Easton is such a great helper. Since he doesn’t nap anymore he helps me with dinner and dessert often. We made biscuits and gravy today (major fail), and he helped with the biscuits. I laugh at how often I realize he doesn’t know something. Like, we don’t put our bare feet on top of the counter next to the food we are preparing. I guess I’m the one that is supposed to teach him that huh?

Have a photo worthy weekend!
