When I consider a purchase, there are so many reasons why I choose to buy something. Often the cost is the determining factor, and other times its the quality, the look or the purpose behind the product. I love a good deal, and I love having just the right look, but I think its also important to make some purchases based on doing good. And often you can get just the right look and great quality too!

Bethany from The Root Collective reached out to me last month about her company and their mission. I was immediately impressed with not only the fun shoes they make and sell, but with their mission too. From start to finish their shoes are handmade by women and men in Guatemala who are looking to better their lives and escape the poverty and gang culture they were born into.  I think you can learn the most (and feel the most) about their company from the video below.

Their flats are well made, super comfortable and come in a wide variety of colors and prints. And they fit slightly large, so order a half size down if you are in between. If you love these shoes and their mission too, use the code 'KILEE' for 15% off your purchase this week. (Expires 6/26.)
