Jogger pants have been around for the last year or so and although they are comfortable, I don't think they are the easiest trend to wear. I've tried my share of loose, soft pants from harem pants to gaucho pants- and usually I just feel like I'm still in my pajamas... in a bad way. It's like I don't feel put together and still feel slouchy. So I've got three tips for styling jogger pants, or just loose, soft pants, for everyday wear and still feeling put together.
1. Wear a fitted top. One easy way to balance out the loose cut on bottom is to wear something fitted on top. This could be a basic tee, a graphic tee or even a slim fitting cami and cardigan. Balance out the bulk on bottom by slimming down your top.
2. Rock the half tuck. A fitted tee isn't a must with loose pants. You can wear a loose top like a slightly over sized tee or sweater, but you need to do a half or a side tuck in the front. Don't tuck the whole shirt in, just the portion right in front, and pull the fabric out so it's a loose tuck. This will create a waist and some shape to an otherwise very billowy outfit.
3. Don't skip the accessories. Be sure to throw on some bracelets, a dainty necklace, earrings and some kind of cute bag. Fully commit to getting ready- including some makeup- in order to feel like you elevated your day from unkempt pajama status.
