Spring Break- A Weather Report

It's Spring Break for us here in Liberty and this is the first year since I was in school that it has affected us. We finally have a grade schooler and I have definitely been looking forward to having him home for a week. I've said it before, but I still hate that Easton is in Kindergarten. It has been really good for him- he has grown so much- but hard for me and his siblings. We are looking forward to Summer and pretending that school doesn't exist and Kesler will have his constant playmate again.

I originally wanted to go out of town and do something fun since Soren's work schedule is more flexible than ever before. But then my work got in the way with this upcoming speaking engagement and we opted to stay home. I'm doing my best to make it fun for the kids. On Monday we made cookies and had friends over to play. Yesterday we went to the zoo and today the older kids get to go to a mini day camp put on my some entrepreneurial neighborhood teenagers.  Soren has been working non-stop on restoring a new-to-us swing set for the backyard and although it's been a ton of work- it will definitely pay off.

I'm just trucking along- taking each day at a time. I realize this post is more like a weather report than anything else. "And we did this. And then we did this. And then we did this too....."

Sorry.

In general I'm feeling a little better. I still get anxiety really easily and every night the to-do list overwhelms me to the point of- "well, I think I'll just go to bed'. But I'm trying to fight it, because the non-hormonal, non-pregnant me would be just fine with what I have on my plate. I did have a breakdown Monday night when I went to change the laundry right before bed and found that a red crayon had gone through the dryer with all of our whites. ALL of Soren and my whites. All of my white undershirts, underwear, his tee shirts. They are all now covered in red crayon spots. It was kind of devastating. So I had a good cry. And it helped. And today I'm ordering more under tees and other things that needed replacing.

BUT- my presentation is coming together for Friday. And I might even have my outfits picked. And I got my nails done on Monday and every time I look at them I feel great. So life is good.

Thanks for putting up with my rambling. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Oh, and don't forget to check out Nickel & Suede's new Earring of the Month today. Royal Blue Suede was also released in honor of the Royals home opener next week!
