Today is a big day in Kansas City and this week is a big week for baseball fans everywhere. As I dropped Kesler off at preschool this morning, I couldn't help but notice Royal's tees everywhere I looked. It's opening day for our home team, the Royals and the whole city is buzzing with baseball. As you may remember, last year the Royals played in the World Series and holy cow was that exciting, even for me. I've never been a huge sports fanatic, but if there is one sport I love- it's baseball. There is nothing like going out to the Kaufman stadium and having a hot dog and watching a fun game of ball. It's just so Summery. I know I'm excited, not to mention, all Kansas Citians are excited, to see how the Royals play this year.
Baseball is also a big deal in our family this year because it's Easton's first year of playing in little league. Soren played for years growing up- even into college- so he has really be enjoying helping our little guy start to learn about the sport. It hasn't been without its frustrations (baseball is HARD), but I think overall it will be a great experience for our whole family this year.
It wouldn't be opening day without styling my own Royals tee and royal blue earrings. I love this basic gray and blue graphic tee from Fanatics. It fits nice and over sized (just my style) and will be perfect to grow into it this Summer with my growing baby bump. I'm still loving white jeans and these lace up espadrilles are the perfect way to add something extra to this basic tee. If I could be at the first game today- this would definitely be my go-to outfit. Of course I'd drop mustard or ketchup on my jeans, but that's what Oxyclean is for. ;)
