InstaFriday: Family Time
It has been a busy week here with family in town and family reunions so I'll be brief today. You can always follow along to see our daily happenings on Instagram @onelittlemomma.
We moved to Missouri to be closer to my parents after we had Kesler, our second. What I (we) didn't realize is that we would be moving closer to Soren's family too. He grew up in Las Vegas, but his grandparents and other extended family on his Dad's side actually grew up right outside of Lawrence, KS (about 40 minutes away from us). So the Nickels family had their first reunion this last weekend at a nearby Lake/resort. Soren's grandma came into town and we all went. Not only did we get to meet a lot of family for the first time, we saw the house that Soren's grandpa grew up in and the farm he worked on as a boy. I still can't believe it.
A few days after Soren's reunion several of my aunts and uncles and cousins came into town. They were on a history tour across the country for our church and since we have several historical sites near us they were able to stop and visit. I really love having company so if you are ever on a similar trip- don't hesitate to contact me and we'll show you around!
I hope you are enjoying your summer too!

We had a fantastic time. Soren and the boys got to canoe on the lake for the first time. Easton even suggested and dared to jump in. There was also way to much delicious food including smoked ribs and homemade ice cream. Delish.

It was especially sweet to have family in town this month because they were able to meet Knox. He stole the show- and rightly so. Look at this sweet face. I cannot believe how big he is already at one month. I swear he eats and sleeps a little too well.
I hope you are enjoying your summer too!
