InstaFriday: Projects and Working Ahead
This past weekend we were home as a family listening to/watching General Conference which is a bi-annual worldwide broadcast from the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is held for 4 hours on Saturday and 4 on Sunday so there is a lot to hear. Throughout the weekend we spent a lot of time doing quite activities around the house. Easton spent hours and hours playing with Legos which was great to see. He and Kesler played so well together!
I worked on stamping baby blankets. I’ll have a post on how and what I am doing, but the baby blankets are almost done and it felt good to check another nursery item off of the list.
Soren spent one afternoon sharpening his chisels. He is a man of many hobbies and one of them that he has perfected in the last year is knife sharpening. It is wonderful because I always have sharp kitchen knives, but it can be dangerous because they are so DANG sharp!
I think I have mentioned that I am getting ready to attend SNAP! blogging conference next week and I am so excited. Four of us will be gone for 4 days for a much anticipated event of classes, crafting, networking, shopping and more! I can’t believe how much there is and can be to do beforehand! Besides getting ahead on blogging and business items, there is getting the family and house ready for my absence- while keeping up with the day to day stuff! But I really think my primary to-do is to catch up on sleep before we leave! Heaven knows I am worn out on a normal day and all of this excitement will really do this almost 33 week pregnant gal in if I arrive sleep deprived!!!
One of the to-do’s was a haircut and eyebrow wax. It was my first time waxing the brows and I can say I am a fan. Us roomies also got together this week to make some pajama pants for a pajama crafting party at the event. It was so easy to whip them all up in a morning when we were working together. Love an easy sewing project!
Things here at home have been so much happier lately- mostly because busy season is over for Soren! He has been home on vacation or working from home for a few weeks and we have all enjoyed seeing him more. Unfortunately it has been so fun that bedtimes have gotten really late. I just hate bad sleeping habits creeping in! Kesler has been getting in bed with us which doesn’t help me get any sleep- especially since I am up a few times a night now just going to the bathroom. Oh well. It is always a phase right? I snapped this funny shot of Kesler the other night when I came up from working in the garage with Soren. It seems all Kesler needs is a blanket for his head and he is good to go- he was dead asleep.
And I am just happy for this last photo. Today was an extremely trying day for my mom-patience, especially with this guy. He is driving me crazy lately by not listening! I’m so glad we can start over tomorrow- hopefully as happy as this photo depicts.
