InstaFriday: White Jeans and Toddlers
Well, I took a risk this Spring. I bought white maternity jeans. I thought I could handle it. Everyone that has ever told me that white couch covers work great with kids is lying. Anyone who says white jeans work great for moms is lying too. I thought a little bleach and stain remover would keep them nice and white but alas- the first time I wore them out with my two year old this happened. Did it come out? Nope. (I will admit laundry and stain removal is not my forte- so if you have tips to save these pants I’d love to hear them!!) I think I’ll still wear them and just pretend the stain is from that day-every time I wear them.
Freezer meal club popped up again this week. We had a lot of fish recipes this month which I am excited to try. I feel like for some reason I have been on a healthy eating kick lately and adding more fish to our diet is exciting. The meal I made was Salmon with Pineapple Mango Salsa. Expect a few recipe posts coming up with our favorites!
Now that I have said we have been eating healthy, I’ll post a photo of my favorite ice cream right now. I’m loving all things mint- in my wardrobe and my treats!
I finished painting the nursery this week! Halleluiah! I am DONE painting walls. Now I am on to decorating the nursery. I am making over a glider with this amazing fabric and green paint. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. We are still in need of a dresser and a few items which I hope to find at First Friday in the West bottoms of KC tomorrow. I invited the hubby on a date to go antique shopping and guess what? He said yes!
Our fun outing this week was to the fire station for playgroup. The kids always enjoy it, although I’m not ever sure if the firefighters do. They were good sports and gave a great tour.
And as an update to last week- Easter didn’t happen at our house yet. The kids found their baskets, but I woke up sick and everyone stayed home with me. It was a really disappointing day, but life happens. We’ll wear our Easter outfits this week and try again next year.
