InstaFriday:St. Patrick’s Day Fun
I love traditions and celebrating holidays, but lets be honest- it can take of work and and planning to stay on top of them! I had a few fun treats pinned to make for St. Patrick’s Day, but those didn’t happen when I forgot to purchase Lucky Charms! So my plan was green pancakes and green milk- easy peasy. I got lucky because I had been to the store the day before and bought plenty of produce. I cut up some kiwi to add more green to the breakfast and realized we had supplies for a whole rainbow! The whole family loved it and it was much healthier than anything including Lucky Charms. This will be a new tradition around here.
For dinner we had Sweet and Sour, but I cut the green peppers horizontal to look like shamrocks. Easy and festive!
We had a really great day at the zoo on our one warm day so far this Spring. It snowed again today. Boo.
I am not kidding when I say it was warm- it got up to almost 80 degrees which felt SO hot to this pregnant momma. I really felt out of shape after hiking out to Africa and back. We waited in line for forever to get some ice cream to cool off with before heading home. I made the mistake of getting something different from Kesler. He has become a master trader of food. He will trade me for whatever I have, but only after he has eaten more than half of his. I los my Drumstick to his smashed ice cream sandwich. Earlier that day he stole my turkey sandwich for lunch and what did I eat? Yep, his peanut butter and jelly. You can see him in action eyeballing Easton’s sandwich. I am not big on sharing my food- never have been- so I have resolved to start eating faster and to only eat the same thing as him whenever we are together. Am I a mean mom?
And the last pic for this week, a selfie. This is what I have been wearing almost everyday unless we are taking outfit photos. This outfit is for painting. I am 2 very tall walls short of having the main house areas all painted. I’ll be enlisting Soren in the last ditch effort. Up next- the nursery.
