A Full Circle Moment

It's the first of the month and that always makes for a busy day for me. I have to get up early to make sure our new products are listed and then I have to go and change out all of our website images and social media pictures. Soren and I finish up the newsletter while getting kids ready for school and all that the morning entails. Sometimes I'm more ahead than that and all I have to do is push publish a few times and things are rolling. Other times it's worse and I'm up way earlier, doing way more. Today was somewhere in between.
But as I listed new products today and added photos from our most recent shoot to the product pages, I realized what a 'full circle moment' today is. You see we released or should I say re-released two colors today that were part of our original line up when we started Nickel & Suede almost two years ago. Nearly 2.5 years ago I made my first pair of teardrop leather earrings out of our Metallic Gold leather and they were beautiful. Little did I know how much better our earrings would get, but these were the first and that leather was perfect for earrings. It was so perfect that we sold out of it a few months after officially starting Nickel & Suede. At that point we were no where near having leather custom made for us, nor did we know exactly what lay ahead. But I always wanted more of that leather and it was a goal of mine to find a way to have more made.
Well today we've done that. We found a way to have more made, and it's even better than the original. This custom leather is exclusive to us and it has a new clear coated back that resists makeup, oils and staining. And we can continue to stock it! Antique Brass was another one of our very first and favorite leathers and today we were able to restock that as well. I'm so thrilled at the progress that reaching that goal represents. We're on our way and I'm so thankful for that!
Today we also released our first style of suede leather chokers- another product that has been on my list of to-do's for over a year. It's so rewarding to see our goals and our efforts come to fruition. Even if progress seems slow, or it feels like kids and life are getting in the way of getting things done, I know that's not true. Hard work pays off and God rewards efforts that are put in their proper place.
Thanks for your support and for reading along on our families little journey. I'm so thankful everyday to have this outlet for me and my brain and my creative energy. You're the best!
