I'm so excited to share today's post with you. This project has been in the works since last Fall and it's amazing to finally get to share it with you! Elegantees reached out to me in August of last year and asked if I would be interested in helping them design a tee and also share their message. I loved the idea of both requests and today I am wearing the product of that collaboration- the Kilee tee.
First of all, let me rave about this tee. It's more of a tunic which is honestly couldn't be more PERFECT for me at this stage of life. This tunic has a great amount of stretch, but it's only snug in just the right places. The arms are fitted, as well as the neckline, and the body hangs loose and slightly away from the body. I love the moderate boat neck and the 3/4 sleeves make it perfect for all seasons. The front is shorter than the back, but both the front and the back are long enough for plenty of coverage. So that means leggings are a yes!
I wanted to show two ways to wear this tee- dressed up and dressed down and although I love both looks- holy cow my Zella leggings and this tunic were match made in heaven. SO comfortable. Other styling ideas are to throw a jacket on top or try belting it. Dark or distressed skinny jeans would also look great with this top. AND this tee not only comes in black, but it also come in Rosewood with Gray.
And the best part about Elegantees- besides their unique tees, is their mission. Their mission is to provide hope to victims of sex trafficking by providing sewing work. They can restore their self image and confidence by earning a fair wage and positive income.
"Once women are rescued, they need a new way to receive income. Elegantees is able to restore lives one elegant tee at a time. We currently employ women in Nepal who have been rescued with The Nepali Rescue Project. It's our dream to hire more survivors and give them the employment, hope and dignity they will receive by sewing for Elegantees."
I am so proud to be working with an organization that does so much good for women in a part of the world far from me. It's hard to imagine what their lives are like, but I'm thankful there are things we can do to help- even in a small way. I hope you'll support their cause and share their message with your friends and family too!
