What I Wore - DIY Olive Cut-Offs
Last week I posted a tutorial for cut-off denim shorts, and in it I mentioned other varieties to try. Well, I took my own advice and cut off some chinos. I thrifted some Old Navy olive green capris for a few dollars. I bought them to fit a tiny bit loose and used my own tutorial to cut them off. The problem that arose after I tried them on was that the bottom 1-2 inches still flared out a bit - it wasn't skinny on my leg the whole way down. An easy fix was to loosely cuff the shorts to use up the extra fabric. I kept the raw edge and didn't hem them either. They may fray a bit, but you know I like the distressed look anyway. These shorts turned out to be really comfy, easy to style, and fun to add to my summer wardrobe.
Did you try last week's shorts tutorial? Have I convinced you yet?
