Happy Mother's Day, mommas!! You are amazing and deserve to be celebrated. I sincerely hope that you feel loved today by the little people who are in your life (and by the big ones too!). I maintain that motherhood is the most rewarding job in the world, and I'm so grateful to be in the trenches of it right now. My boys are such a blessing to me, and I'm so lucky to be their mom - no matter how hard the day in and day outs are. In the last year I have found that one of my causes as a blogger is sharing my passion for motherhood with other moms and women. All women deserve to be empowered as moms and to feel confident in raising kids while still making a positive difference in the world outside their home.

In the spirit of Mother's Day, I want to share my favorite motherhood message. I watch this one every few months when I need to feel inspired and encouraged as a momma. I really believe it's entirely true.

Now, I realize that we all are in different circumstances. You may be a new mom, an older mom, a single adult, a sister, an aunt, a grandma, a friend or have any number of roles. I understand and appreciate that we are all at different places, BUT speaking from personal experience, ALL moms need a little extra appreciation today. Heck, I need extra encouragement all the time! (You can see why I watch the movie above so often!) No matter what your situation is, I guarantee your day will be better if you find another mom to compliment or to hug or to take a treat to. Yes, spoil your mom and yes, I hope you get spoiled, but take a chance to spread the love and encouragement a little farther too. You never know who needs the extra boost! I know I'll be trying my best to do it too.

Now on to this week's Sunday Style! One tip for styling maxi skirts is to knot them on the front-side if they are a smidge too short. This skirt just hangs a tiny bit short in the front and I almost tossed it back in my closet until I remembered the knotting trick. It took me about five tries before I thought it looked right, so don't be afraid to tie and retie until it hangs right. This is a pretty casual church look for me and yet because I'm wearing a skirt, it still feels dressy. I should wear this to the park or grocery shopping, but I probably won't. You should though!

So, what did you get your mom today? Do you have any Mother's Day traditions?
